WHAT IS AWS?
Cloud services providing computing, storage and other resources for applications. Games can use these resources for servers and services supporting accounts and sessions.

We are exploring Amazon Web Services for future multiplayer experiences. This is a technical plan under evaluation, not a currently launched BFAT service.
According to AWS, its first cloud infrastructure Region in Saudi Arabia is on track to launch in December 2026. We are following this launch to evaluate hosting our projects closer to players in the Kingdom.
OFFICIAL AMAZON ANNOUNCEMENT ↗Cloud services providing computing, storage and other resources for applications. Games can use these resources for servers and services supporting accounts and sessions.
A service for deploying, operating and scaling dedicated servers for session-based multiplayer games. We are evaluating it among the infrastructure options for future projects.
ABOUT THE SERVICE ↗Nearby hosting may help reduce latency, but results depend on player networks, routing and game design. Performance will be measured through real testing.
We plan to prototype public and private lobbies, session management and server monitoring, then test scaling with player demand.
The AWS Region launch does not automatically confirm GameLift or every service will be available there on day one. Hosting services and location will be selected after availability checks and testing. No BFAT server launch date has been announced.
